Your fault

During the Psychology 1B lab session on Friday, the tutor talked about Thematic Apperception Test (TAT). Showed us some pictures, and asked us to describe what we see.

For this picture, I shared with the class what it looks like to me.
I said that the man and women are a couple, and they have just had a fight.

Such projective tests are used to assess personality, and the person is assumed to project their unconcious feelings, drives, and motives onto the ambiguous stimuli.

But a downside of the test is that it may not always be true. The tutor then said something like: Say for example, what she has described may not neccesarily mean that she has a problem in her relationship.

I interrupted the tutor and went Oh, no no no.

I do pay attention during psy lab, and not just Facebook throughout the two hours.
