Let it snow!

So, for the first time in 18 years, Bristol (and the whole of UK) experiences it's heaviest snowfall. Apparently, the economy of the country is affected of up to GBP 3.2b. Meanwhile, students on the other hand, benefit from this wonderful snowfall. Schools were cancelled everywhere, my brother in London could not go to work because the tube and the DLR were suspended, so was the bus service.

Me on the other hand? We still had lectures as usual. (*@#%!!!!) And not to mention, assignments to hand in over the course of the week. To much of my delight, my tutor confessed that he slipped while walking on Woodland Road to uni. And bare this in mind: he's a bone head. That must have hurt.

First, before the snow pic: a lovely picture of Canary Wharf where we had lunch on a Chinese floating restaurant.

The snow started in London when I was there visiting brother over the weekend. I was euphoric. Little did I know what was there to come.

The view from my brother's flat.

On the way to the DLR station

At the DLR station. This picture is illegitimate.

And now back in Bristol. It only started on Monday morning.
You can see the heavy snowfall. This is my back courtyard.

The view from the front window of my house.
The view of the front garden of my house.
And the church opposite (by our dear Anglican counterparts)
In uni in the Royal Fort Garden
The entrance of the house, which is at the rear.
All the way delivered to your doorstep.
In the evening, Ka Shing and I decided to have a kick about in the snow.
Feet burried in snow.
And then we decided to go to the back garden to build a small snowman. We were joined by a fox.
Our little Chinese snowman. It's Chinese New Year after all.
That's how thick the snow was.
And then a lovely warm bah kut teh dinner to warm ourselves up after the fun in the snow.

On Tuesday the snow started melting away =( and on Wednesday there were light showers of snow, which did not last very long. Over Wednesday till Thursday night, it snowed a bit.

But came Thursday night, we could not stop smiling.
The snow did not stop falling throughout the whole night into Friday morning.
I was itching to go out and play in the snow, with fears of the snow melting away again during the course of the day loomed at the back of my head. Fortunately, the snow on Friday was the heaviest ever, and the sky was rather gloomy. It only stopped snowing at about 11pm, a good 12 hours or so since it started. My law friends had all of their classes canceled. But as for me? I had mine on. And I had my assignments to finish. I was really worried that I wouldn't have time to play in the snow.

But fortunately for me, I did. A few of my mates came over to join me in the snow. As usual, I was the target for snowballs. As the snowballs increased in size, I decided the agony was enough and we headed to my back garden to build a snowman. What started off to be a medium sized snowman, turned out to be human size, in our attempt to build Albee her boyfriend.

Stuart and I meticulously working on the snowman. Albee was snow supplier.

Again, deep deep snow.
I know what you're thinking of. That is NOT what we were trying to build. Friends already did that.
Slowly shaping the snowman.
And after much refinement (which took a good one hour), Albee's boyfriend is done. Time to make him come to life.
After a good two hour and 15 minutes, Frosty was done! And with some of my stuff, he comes to life!
The centre of attraction.
Up Shaun's.
=)
haha I kissed Albee's bf first before she did.
That was how wide he was. You can't see me except my head!
Albee and her new found love.

The next morning, I got up early to decorate Frosty again to have a day shot of it.
Still looking good. BTW, if you didn't earlier, he was giving you the finger.
A mug shot of the handsome-est snowman.
Wide bottom for stability.
