kuantan

so it's the time of the year when ma gets so busy and easily annoyed, sometimes. cos it's the season of the inter school scrabble thingy.

and so, on friday we kids followed her to kuantan. stayed at hyatt regency kuantan. the resort is so beautiful!!!!!!! but kan, the rooms are waaaaaaaaay too expensive. rm400++ for the small, old fashioned room. luckily ma managed to get the cheaper rate as a bla bla whatever and so we only paid a bit less than rm250.

didn't do much on friday, cos we had to prepare for the thingy on saturday.

so i'm a very jakun city kid, and wanted to see the sunrise at the horizon. i think i've never seen it before. so sad, no? woke up at seven on saturday, walked down to the pool in the yukata and bedroom slippers, just to see the sun already up. apparently the sun rises at 5 something.

had dinner at the cool italian bistro, saw two not so big bigshots, lepaked at the pool area with ma after that. it was so relaxing. ma said that the waves were rough, not like the ones at tengkera at melaka, where she used to grow up at.

wanted to wake up early again this morning to see the sunrise but was too lazy.

highlight of the trip: pa looking so excited to see us arrive. he was standing outside the mamak, and when he saw the car coming he started to grin from ear to ear. peter said that he looked like a kid that had just gotten a new toy. haha. oh, that was back home at bukit antarabangsa, not kuantan.

three more months to lumut!!! too bad i can only see the sunset there.
