My past few weeks were spent sleeping, eating, baking/cooking, and sleeping.

Lemon poppy seed cake without the sides.

  Because the best part of a cake is the crust,  as soon as the cake is taken out of the oven.

In bed until 2 in the afternoon.

Cupcake

Today, my Momma, Jean and I made lemon poppy seed cupcakes!

The dry ingredients: self raising flour, toasted poppy seeds, brown sugar, lemon zest.

The wet ingredients: Eggs beaten into yoghurt.

Cut and fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, then add in the melted butter.

 Bake in the oven for approximately thirty minutes.

Dry spell

I've not been on a holiday since February, and my backside has been itchy for some time now.

During my last trip to London, I went to The Wolseley with Paul and his family. 

I've always been indifferent towards scones, but then I had scones at The Wolseley and I absolutely loved it!

Back in Bristol, Paul and I tried to recreate the afternoon tea we had at The Wolseley.

The cake we bought from Sainsbury's was too sweet, the scones were just OK, and we bought the wrong type of cream (whipped cream instead of clotted cream). What a disappointment! So I was left kempunan for good scones (I think I'm using the word correctly).

Since my brother Paul and I are on our uni breaks now, I suggested that the family go for a holiday to Cameron Highlands!

Soon enough I'll be enjoying cream tea!

Twenty!

This year's birthday was different from the ones I'm used to having for the past three years. This year, Paul and I were not in the same country to celebrate our birthday. So the few pictures we have were taken only over Skype.

Before my dinner on Wednesday:

The family went to Millisime for dinner.

My brother Paul managed to join us from Singapore!

And you wonder how I'm still tiny despite having a big appetite..

The baby is all grown up now!

23rd June:

Ma made mee suah and red eggs on my birthday!

Saw him on Skype, and I started laughing, because we were in the same colour. His expression says it all.
